Whether it’s an electric, gas, or glass cooktop, a thoroughly clean cooktop in a single day requires more than a token effort. Cleaning your cooktop is easy and quick if you know how! Would you like to ensure that it shines properly? Here’s a natural technique to clean a stove without burning you out with constant scrubbing or breaking the top!
Ingredients:
Baking soda (as needed)
Citrus vinegar cleaner (or vinegar)
Dishwashing liquid
Kitchen non-abrasive sponge
Cleaning cloths
Spray bottle
Step 1: Allow the stove to cool.
Only clean a stove once it has cooled to the touch.
Step 2: Construct a Cleaning Solution
Fill a spray bottle halfway with hot water, distilled white vinegar, and half a teaspoon dishwashing liquid. Label the bottle after giving it a thorough shake to mix. Cleaning can be done once a week or on a regular basis with the cleaner.
Step 3: Cleaning, rinsing, and drying.
Spray the cleaning solution on the stovetop and leave it to work for a few minutes. Use a non-abrasive sponge to clean the cooktop. After washing the sponge, wipe away any residual solution. To dry the surface, use a lint-free microfiber cloth.
Step 4: Use Baking Soda to Remove Burned-On Food
If the area requires additional cleaning, liberally sprinkle it with dry baking soda and spray it with just enough distilled white vinegar to produce a thick paste (there will be some fizzing as the baking soda and vinegar react to help break down the food particles). To avoid leaks, wring out a microfiber towel after immersing it in hot water. Allow at least 15 minutes for the mixture to steam while covered with the towel. Remove the towel and use a non-abrasive sponge to remove the loose food. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
Step 5: Allow to dry before reassembling.
After wiping down the stove with a clean, damp sponge to remove any lingering oil and stains, dry it with a microfiber towel to give it a streak-free gloss. Reassemble each system component.
What are the finest cleaning agents for stovetops?
Baking soda, white vinegar, lemon juice, water, and dish soap are all excellent cooktop cleaners.
For tough burn scars, some people use white eraser sponges. These are useful, but you should use them with caution because they function like fine sandpaper and can damage the surface if not used properly.
Maintenance Schedule:
1. Remove any spills or splatters.
Spills, splatters, and boiled-over food should be cleaned up as soon as possible. The more difficult it is to get them off the cooktop, the longer they will stay there.
2. Weekly cleaning is recommended.
Cleaning the cooktop once a week should take no longer than five minutes. If you put off cleaning the stovetop for months, it could take hours.
3. Avoid the use of abrasive cleaners.
Abrasive cleaners and products such as steel wool or wire brushes can scratch glass and metal stovetops.
